America

In America, they use all sorts of materials, such as fresh flowers, leaves from trees, essential oils, linen, old spice, etc. They have adopted many different ways of making and using scents from many different cultures. European countries such as France and England are large influencers of the traditional American scent. Studies in the past have shown that our citizens originally craved "dirty odors", like musk, sweat, lice, and unwashed hair smells. So creators of perfume went out of their way to make clean ones such as fresh laundry, soap, fabric softeners, detergent, and bathroom powder, in order to mask the odors every other culture considered disgusting. And even today, Americans still prefer these smells that resemble cleaning products.
