Italy

Not many people in Greece and Rome originally liked perfumes because they considered it to be "bad magic". So the only way they would scent themselves was by using fragrant oils. Lorenzo, an Italian creator of fragrances in the early 1900s,  moved to Arabia just for the greater variety of perfumes, and often wondered why there weren't many options in Italy. This inspired him to make his own perfume which represented Italy from collected spices from around Italy and cypress wood, a scent Italians later adopted.
